World Hot Air Balloon Championship 2016

The competition has been held. 105 balloons takeoff at once from outside of the launch site after 6:45.

Task 5

Pilot Declared Goal / PDG

It is the game that pilots declares his or her goal before their takeoff, and they drop the marker off approaching. They need to read the direction and speed of wind with map accurately.

Task 6

Fly In / FIN

Target : Inside the launch of Kase Riverbed
Event Directors decide one goal. It is usually set in the launch area of Kase Riverbed. Balloons takeoff from some distances away (for example, 5km away) for the target.

Task 7

Judge Declared Goal / JDG

Target : Minouzaki Ashikari, Ogi City (around Ashikari Elementary School)
Balloons fly to the goal which the Event Director ordered. It is usually 4 to 6 km away from the goal. The pilots drop the marker toward the center of the target and the winner who drop to the nearest get 1000 points.

Fly On / FON

This game is always held with the combination of other tasks. At first, pilots drop markers of anther task. At this time, they need to write where to drop next.

Task 2

Hesitation Waltz / HWZ

Target : Nakabaru Kasemachi, Saga City / Hisatomi Kubotachi, Saga City (Pilots choose either of two)
It is very similar to Judge Declared Goal but the difference of it is there are several target set. Pilots choose one target and fly, and then they drop the marker.
